(Neb.)-Area Residents Turn Out To Participate In Local Fundraisers
(Chadron)-Although final numbers have not yet been tallied, both Sides and Milburn Ford in Rushville and Wahlstrom Ford in Chadron said there were good numbers of people who turned out to Drive 4 UR School over the weekend.
The event in Gordon on Friday was a fundraiser for the Gordon-Rushville Booster Club, and according to Chris Heiser from Sides and Milburn, it was a good turnout, with approximately 100 people. He said that it was reported to him an additional $800 was raised by the booster club selling a meal to those wishing to contribute to the cause.
On Saturday, Wahlstrom Ford sponsored an event in Chadron to benefit the Chadron High School Chapter of Future Farmers of America. Rob Wahlstrom said there were between 150 and 175 people who took advantage of the event, and the FFA chapter sold over 100 hot dogs. Final figures from both fundraisers should be available later on today. (Monday)
