(Neb.)- Baseball Sized Hail Hits Hemingford

(Chadron)- According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, 2 ¾ “hail had fallen in Hemingford earlier Wednesday afternoon. The hail was associated with a band of thunderstorms that have made their way over portions of the Nebraska Panhandle and Eastern Wyoming.
 
Golf ball sized hail was reported by a KCSR listener around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. According to the NWS trained spotters reported 40 to 50 mph wind gust in the Alliance area around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. 
 
As of 4:45 p.m. Wednesday the Box Butte County Sheriffs Office had not received any reports of damage from the storms affecting the Hemingford area.
