(Neb.)-Boil Water Advisory Remains In Effect For Whitney, Chlorination Begins

By: Chris Fankhauser Posted at: 07/24/2013 02:49 PM

(Whitney)-Although the leak has been discovered and fixed in the Whitney area, Mike Kesselring is advising residents to continue boiling water for use. Kesselring is Water Operator for Dawes County Rural Water District #1 and the Village of Whitney.

He said they began chlorinating the water at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, and will likely continue to do so for two weeks. He will keep KCSR/KBPY updated as to the status of the water system so that information can be passed along to listeners in the Whitney area. That information will also be posted on Chadrad.com.
