(Neb.)-Kimball Opens New Visitor Center Along I-80
(KIMBALL)-Ask many people what they think about state tourism, and most will probably say, “To see the real Nebraska, you have to get off the Interstate.” A new visitor center in Kimball is aiming to help travelers do just that. The center opened last week at exit 20 just off I-80 in the former Burger King building. The hope is to lure travelers off the Interstate and into the picturesque landscapes readily accessible throughout the Panhandle. The High Point Welcome Center opened last week and has already been serving a variety of individuals from other states and abroad.
The building currently features brochures and pamphlets showcasing area attractions. The center is currently working on signage and landscaping needs and hopes to eventually offer a Wi-Fi hotspot and comfy places to sit and relax. The High Point Welcome Center will be celebrating its grand opening and will be hosting a chamber Business After Hours celebration on Friday, August 16th.
