(Neb.)-Chadron City Council Will Discuss Pool, Revitialization Projects Monday
(CHADRON)-The Chadron city council will convene for their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday evening, July 15th, at City Hall council chambers, 234 Main Street. On the agenda, a status report and update on the proposed swimming pool project and requests for paving and authorization to request proposals for engineering services for the design of a street paving project for the 300 block of Ash Street. The council will also discuss specifications for a new 2014 full-size police package sedan, mid-size SUV, or pickup and authorize notice to dealers, as well as recommend the awarding of a bid for the purchase of two new 550 of 5500 series regular cab 4x4 snow/dump trucks for the street department. The council will also approve the revised city employee personnel manual and discuss an application for state assistance for the pavement rehabilitation project at Chadron Municipal Airport.
During his report, city manager Wayne Anderson will give notice of approval for the Community Development Block Grant application for phase one, the planning phase, of the Downtown Revitalization Project and notice of a public information open house meeting for the Highway 20 project, which will take place Tuesday, July 23rd. Anderson will also discuss the city’s 2013-2014 fiscal year budget and a chamber of commerce fundraiser circus event coming up on Sunday, July 28th.
The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public. Great Plains customers can also tune in on local access channel 19.
