(Wyo.)-Wildfire Southeast Of Casper 50 Percent Contained
CASPER, Wyo. (ASSOCIATED PRESS) - Cooler temperatures and higher humidity have helped firefighters gain the upper hand on a wildfire burning in a remote area southeast of Casper.
The 211-acre fire - burning through pine, grass and sagebrush - was 50 percent contained Saturday night. It did not grow Saturday, and one firefighting crew has been released from the blaze. The cause of the fire, which was reported Thursday, is under investigation.
Wyoming has experienced few wildfires in 2013 compared to last year's busy fire season.
