(Neb.)-Chadron School Board To Convene Monday Evening
(CHADRON)-The Chadron Board of Education will convene for their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday evening, July 8th, in the school’s central office board room. Unfinished business will include discussing and taking necessary action on the second reading of a searches in schools policy and the annual review of the school safety plan. New business includes discussion and necessary action on the high school roof proposal for the east and west theatre entrances, restroom bids, student handbook, and several public hearings. The hearings will provide an opportunity for public input on the school’s policies regarding the Internet, parental involvement, anti-bullying, and student fees. The school board’s July meeting is also a quarterly opportunity for members of the public to express any thoughts or concerns regarding items that are not on the meeting’s agenda.
The meeting will also feature various reports, including one from school superintendent Caroline Winchester. Her report will include economic impact, facilities, legislative, personnel, and Advanced Ed External Review updates, a preliminary budget report, and comments on the “Dream Team.” She will also discuss accreditation approval, the All Children Experience Success program, and the ESU #13 Behavior Systems Development Project.
Round table discussion will include an AdvancED self assessment on purpose and direction. The assessment’s purpose is to assist with preparation for the external review in November.
