(Neb.)- Crawford To Host Annual Fourth Of July Celebration

(Chadron)- Stars, and stripes, and fireworks! The celebration of our Independence Day will take place next week and with it come the small town festivities that remind us of our freedoms. 
 
Crawford is hosting their annual Fourth of July celebration, with activities kicking off on Tuesday, July 2nd, with the Old West Trail Junior Fun Day which includes the Junior Princess and King contest starting at 8:00 a.m.
 
The Old West Trail 67th Annual PRCA Rodeo will begin at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3rd, and its “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night, with proceeds going to the Circle of Light in Chadron.
 
July 4th will feature a 5K run at the Post Playhouse at Fort Robinson. Registration is at 7:00 a.m. with the run beginning at 7:30 a.m. The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. with this year’s theme as “Burnt, but Not Broken”. The parade route will run along Second Street, with a live broadcast on Stereo AM 610 KCSR.
 
Festivities in Crawford will round out on Thursday evening with a rodeo performance at 8:00 p.m. and fireworks will follow.
