(Neb.)-NRPPD Crews Work To Replace Power Poles Damaged In Storm
(CHADRON)-Northwest Rural Public Power District line superintendent Russ Reichenberg says there were seven of their power poles broken off in the tornadic storm that destroyed outbuildings, uprooted bushes, and flung debris in the area along Hough Road last night (Tuesday). Reichenberg said the impacted area was relatively isolated, and there was only one residence on that line at the time. Most of the services on the line weren’t being used at the time. As far as location and impact on customers goes, Reichenberg said the path of the twister “was about as good of a place as it could have hit, I guess.” He said crews are replacing the damaged poles and should have power back on sometime this afternoon.
