By: Chris Fankhauser Posted at: 05/10/2013 09:03 AM

(Chadron)-A Chadron man was uninjured in an accident west of town early Thursday morning. According to a report from the Nebraska State Patrol, Prahladbhai "Peter" Chaudhari, age 35 of Chadron was driving a 2000 green Honda Odyssey traveling eastbound on Highway 20 shortly after midnight on Thursday.

It is believed he fell asleep, striking north side guardrail with the Odyssey, causing total damage for 100 yards. The Patrol reports the vehicle then swerved right and came to rest in the westbound lane.

It is unknown if restraints were in use. The vehicle was considered a total loss. Chaudhari will be cited for reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
