(Neb.)- Highway 385 Accident Sends One To The Hospital
(Chadron)- A one vehicle rollover accident south of Chadron on Highway 385 sent the vehicles passenger to the hospital Tuesday afternoon. Shortly before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday a call came in to dispatch regarding a rollover accident that had occurred about five miles south of Chadron.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol the car was traveling northbound when the driver of the car became distracted and veered onto the side of the road parallel with south bound traffic, and continued on all four tires for 300 to 400 feet until the vehicle turned side ways and turned over on to the drivers side of the car.
Chadron Fire and Rescue were successfully able to extract both subjects in the vehicle, and both were able to walk away after being removed. The passenger of the car was then transported to Chadron Community Hospital, but did not appear to sustain any serious injuries.
Witnesses to the accident say that the vehicle was moving slowly upon rolling to its side, which in turn led to very minimal damage.
The Dawes County Sheriffs Office was also on scene to assist the Nebraska State Patrol and Chadron Fire and Rescue.
