(Neb.)-Chadron Hosts Panhandle City Managers/Mayors Meeting

By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 04/19/2013 01:45 PM

(CHADRON)-The city of Chadron hosted a Panhandle city manager/mayor quarterly meeting at City Hall council chambers on Friday, April 19th. Chadron city manager Wayne Anderson and Mayor Karin Fischer were in attendance as well as representatives from other Panhandle cities, including Alliance and Kimball. Also at the meeting were representatives from the Nebraska Department of Roads, including District 5 superintendent Craig Lind from Gering, who spoke to the managers and mayors on upcoming road projects in the Panhandle and how those may interact with city projects.
The managers and mayors took a break for lunch and were back at it in the afternoon to discuss a few other items of interest and to decide who would host the next meeting. This was Anderson’s first time to host since becoming city manager last August. Three months ago the meeting was held in Alliance, and six months ago Bridgeport was the host city.
