(Neb.)-Ford Fundraiser For CHS Performing Arts Still On For Saturday
(Chadron)-The 17.4 inches of snow may have put a damper on the Chadron area in terms of business and school activities, but that won’t stop Wahlstrom Ford from raising money for the Performing Arts at Chadron High School. Rob Wahlstrom said that Drive One 4 Ur School will still be taking place on Saturday at the CHS rear parking area.
Wahlstrom said that the temperatures are set to warm up, which will help melt the snow, an he is optimistic that the streets will be cleared enough to continue with the fundraiser. Some of the vehicles will be 4-wheel drive pickups, so if need be, people can test their heartiness.
Licensed drivers can test drive a Ford or Lincoln Mercury vehicle between 9 am and 4 pm on Saturday, and for each vehicle driven, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Performing Arts department at CHS. Hot dogs, chips and a drink will be sold for $2, and entertainment will be provided during the noon hour.
This event is not a sales ploy. None of the sales consultants on hand will try to push anyone into purchasing a vehicle. However, if someone does want more information, they are welcome to set up an appointment at the dealership to discuss buying any of the vehicles showcased at the event.
