(Neb.)-Dawes County Commissioners To Meet Wednesday Morning
(DAWES COUNTY)-The Dawes County commissioners will convene in their regularly scheduled meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning, March 20th at the Dawes County courthouse. At 9:30 a.m., Sheriff Karl Dailey will discuss his 2013/2014 budget with the commissioners. Also on the agenda, Scott Cotton from the UNL extension office regarding fire and drought education ideas as well as highway superintendent Larry Hankin concerning road updates, a part-time employee for the weed department, a bid proposal request for packers, gravel trailers, and a pickup, and approval of software programs for the department.
Ron Nealeigh with Legal Shield will be on hand to discuss pre-paid legal services and identity theft coverage for employees as well as county treasurer Barbara Sebesta regarding CD renewals. Also on the agenda, the quarterly jail inspection, public defender information, safety committee recommendations regarding training, and a letter from the Box Butte County commissioners regarding the veteran’s service officer. The meeting is open to the public with an opportunity for public comments at 9:45 a.m.
