(Neb.)-Chadron City Council To Meet Monday Night
(CHADRON)-The Chadron city council will convene Monday evening at City Hall council chambers, 234 Main Street. On the agenda, resolutions to approve the sewer line right-of-way easement from Robert and Joyce Hardy for the installation and maintenance of a sewer line, and final plats for an alley right-of-way in the Victory Heights addition near Kenwood Elementary School and for the West Hills First addition on West Sixth Street. Also on the agenda, a request from the Chadron Housing Authority regarding forgiveness of a loan concerning the construction of the Heritage Apartments.
Library director Rossella Tesch will update council members on the proposed renovation of the Chadron Public Library, and Terry Rajewich and T.J. Rutledge with the Nebraska Public Power District will present their annual community review.
A public hearing will be held regarding an application for phase one of a community development block grant toward planning of a proposed downtown revitalization project. After the hearing, the council will vote on resolutions regarding the application for the downtown project and an application for grant assistance from the civic and community center financing fund in connection with the proposed swimming pool project.
Council members will also vote to approve a consultant agreement with Olssen Associates, Inc. for engineering services in connection with an airport improvement program (AIM) project.
The council will receive a revenue return from ACE, the Public Alliance for Community Energy and will make a motion to discontinue the education incentive benefit and to approve Education Assistance for city employees. Council members will also appoint Travis Nitsch to the Tree Board.
The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
