By: Chris Fankhauser Posted at: 03/15/2013 08:01 AM

(Edgemont)-Black Hills residents will have a chance to hear more about the effects of uranium mining at a seminar to be held next week. The event will begin at 6:30 Monday evening at the Crow Peak Brewing Company in Spearfish.

People who cannot make it to the Spearfish location have the opportunity to attend two satellite locations in Custer and Rapid City where a live stream will be broadcast.  The presenter of the evening will be Talli Nauman, an environmental journalist.  Nauman will provide information on the effects that a uranium mine can have on the community, from economic impacts to the environment.

For more information on the seminar, including any registration requirements, interested people are asked to call Suzan Nolan at 605-348-7499.
