(Neb.)-Pool Project, 1/2 Cent Sales Tax Vote On Chadron City Council's Agenda
(CHADRON)-The Chadron city council will convene on Monday night at City Hall council chambers, 234 Main St. The council will further discuss and decide whether or not to approve a professional services agreement with Burbach Aquatics, Inc., regarding to the proposed swimming pool project. Members will also set a special election date for voters to either approve or disapprove the continuation of the city’s ½ cent sales tax and will adopt an economic development plan outlining how the generated money would be utilized.
Also on the agenda, a public hearing and a resolution regarding the city’s one- and six-year street improvement plan for 2013, and a resolution to approve an amendment to the city’s service agreement with the Solid Waste Agency of Northwest Nebraska (SWANN).
The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
