(Neb.)-Chadron City Council To Hold Special Workshop Tuesday  Listen

By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 02/12/2013 09:49 AM

(CHADRON)-The Chadron city council is holding another special workshop this (Tuesday) evening at City Hall council chambers, 234 Main St. Dave Burbach with Burbach Aquatics, Inc., will meet with the council to answer questions and provide more information on the proposed swimming pool project. Burbach’s firm is the one that was selected by the Chadron swimming pool committee to help provide feasibility and cost estimates for the city.
City manager Wayne Anderson says he feels getting a chance to meet with Burbach, who is based out of Platteville, WI, while he’s in the area on other business might help alleviate council members’ concerns regarding entering an agreement with the firm.

Anderson says moving into the first phase of the project is the only real way to determine its full scope and cost. He shared his hopes for the outcome of the meeting this evening.

Anderson says Burbach will not charge the city anything upfront for his services during the project’s first phase. The only requirement and cost would be a referendum in which the public gets to vote for or against the project before it can proceed any further.
The workshop begins at 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
