(Wyo.)-Wyoming Deputy Posthumously Honored
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A deputy who died trying to rescue a teenage girl from the North Platte River in 2011 will be honored with the Congressional Badge of Bravery.
The family of Converse County Deputy Bryan Gross will accept the award at a ceremony Feb. 19 at the Wyoming Capitol.
Rep. Cynthia Lummis said Tuesday that she would attend, along with Gov. Matt Mead, Sens. Mike Enzi and John Barrasso and U.S. District Attorney Kip Crofts. The 11 a.m. ceremony will be open to the public.
