(Neb.)-Chadron High Men Strut Their Stuff For FBLA Fundraiser
(Chadron)-The Chadron High School Future Business Leaders of America held a fundraiser Tuesday night at the CHS auditorium. The 5th annual Mr. CHS Pageant drew 8 competitors, ranging from freshmen to seniors, and a small crowd in attendance.
The contestants competed in several areas of competition, including an on-stage question, which was asked by 2013 Miss Alliance Outstanding Teen Mikaela Hastings. They then followed with physical fitness, with some of the contestants showing their agility by attempting to hit ping pong balls, flexing their muscles, and wooing the crowd. The talent competition rounded out the first half of the competition.
After a brief intermission, the contestants strutted their stuff in evening wear, with various outfits from suits, a band hat, bathrobe and bunny slippers, and even an evening gown. Three judges had the daunting task of scoring each contestant. Chadron School Resource Officer Aron Chrisman, Miss Northwest Megan Dimmit, and Jens Johnson were the judges for the evening. After an interesting display of talents and getting to know the contestants, two seniors were selected, with Michael Kruse as first runner up, and Cort Goffena as Mr. CHS 2013. Alec Burke was selected at Mr. Congeniality, and Zach Fankhauser received the People’s Choice award.
