(Neb.)-Legacy Of The Plains Announces Marty Stuart Concert

By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 01/23/2013 10:31 AM

(GERING)–The Legacy of the Plains Museums, which incorporates the Farm And Ranch Museum and the North PlatteValleyMuseum, is pleased to announce the artist for its 2013 summer concert fundraiser. Country music singer-songwriter Marty Stuart will be performing at Five Rocks Amphitheater on the evening of August 29th to help raise funds for supporting museum operations.

Stuart, who began playing the mandolin as a child, is well known for his traditional country music style, often blended with a touch of rockabilly and honky tonk. He has played with Lester Flatt and Johnny Cash and hosts The Marty Stuart Show on RFD-TV.

Tickets for the concert are $25 each and will go on sale in mid-February, just in time for Valentine’s Day gifting. Thanks to the sponsorship of 21st Century Equipment, RegionalWestMedicalCenter, WESTCO, and Fremont Motors sponsoring the lights and sound, 100 percent of the ticket sale proceeds will directly benefit the museums.

For more information, call 308-436-1989.
