(Wyo.)-Day At The State Legislature

     CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Events on the 11th day of 2013 General Session of the Wyoming Legislature: Tues., Jan. 22:
 
     EDUCATION REFORM: The House Appropriations Committee voted unanimously to advance a bill that would strip many of the powers from the office of State Superintendent of Public Instruction. The bill, which already has passed the Senate, now heads to the House.
 
     ARREST RECORDS: The House defeated a bill that would have changed state law to allow the release of names of people charged with sexual assault before until they're bound over to district court.
 
     FOOD FREEDOM: The House gave preliminary approval to a bill that would exempt the sale of some food from state certification and inspection.
 
     ROAD KILL: A bill that would set regulations for the possession of road-killed animals received preliminary approval in the House.
 
     MYTHICAL CREATURE: A bill that would designate the jackalope as the state's official mythical creature received preliminary approval in the House.
