(Neb.)-Joint Planning Committee To Meet In January
(Chadron)-The Dawes County Joint Planning Committee will be holding a meeting at the end of January in Chadron, with all welcome to attend. It will take place on Wednesday, January 30, beginning at 6 pm in the Lakota/Bordeaux Room of the Chadron State College Student Center.
Presentations will include Kim Engel with Panhandle Public Health District regarding a Panhandle community health improvement plan, and a presentation by a representative of the group People For Positive Growth. There will also be break-out sessions with a 90 day progress update and 90 day planning.
An addition to the break-out groups will be agriculture and fire recovery opportunities. Other topics include enhancing local transportation, maximizing community strengths through working together, engaging county members in positive healthy behaviors, positioning business opportunities for better economic success, and swimming pool development.
People are encouraged to bring announcements to be shared, such as trainings, legislative updates and other meeting dates. The next meeting of the Planning Committee will be held on April 25.
