(Neb.)-Dawes County Commissioners Sign Petition

(Chadron)-The Dawes County Commissioners held their regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday morning at the Dawes County Courthouse.
 
Mark Klemke of Mobius Communications requested a petition from the Dawes Co. Commissioners regarding the installation of fiber optics from Table Center Road to the Pink School House south of Crawford.  The petition was then signed by commissioners Jake Stewart, Webb Johnson, and Stacy Swinney.
 
In public comment Dawes County Commissioner Stacy Swinney observed a map of the current Nebraska Game and Parks Districts and said that he has sent a letter of request to state senators requesting that the counties of Dawes, Sioux, Sheridan, and Box Butte be made in to another district and would there for allow for a local Game and Parks commissioner to handle the northwest Panhandle. 
 
In a roads report review made by Larry Hankin discussion was had over road maintenance with the recent snow storm and said that crews are continuing to plow roads as blowing snow remains a factor.
 
The next meeting is scheduled for February 5th at 9:00 a.m. at the Dawes County Courthouse.
