(Wyo.)-State Registers Cold Temps, Set To Warm Up A Little
By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 01/15/2013 11:49 AM CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming is set to warm up, a bit.
The National Weather Service says wind chill temperatures along Interstate 80 were 30 to 35 degrees below zero early Tuesday but that relatively warmer temperatures should develop later.
It's expected to get into the teens in Jackson, Riverton, Pinedale, a day after temperatures failed to get above zero at their airports. Negative 5 was the high at Pinedale's airport on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Bighorn Mountains and parts of Big Horn County are getting snow. Wyoming's snowpack is 78 percent of average, compared with 95 percent at this time last year.
