By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 01/10/2013 09:25 AM LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska lawmakers are poised to start introducing bills for this year's session.
The 10-day window for new legislation will open on Thursday, once the Legislature convenes.
Lawmakers are expected to craft a new, two-year state budget. They're also preparing to debate taxes, Medicaid, and a push to reform state services for troubled juveniles and youths in foster care.
Gov. Dave Heineman will unveil his legislative priorities during his State of the State address next week.
The session started Wednesday and is scheduled to end June 5.
