(Neb.)-Sheridan County Commissioners to Meet Monday
(SHERIDANCOUNTY)-The Sheridan County Commissioners are meeting Monday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Room of the Sheridan County Courthouse. The commissioners will convene as the County Board of Equalization as County Assessor Trudy Winter presents correction sheets for Board consideration.
The first item on the Board of Commissioners agenda is discussion of the position SheridanCounty should take on issues coming before the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) at the convention being held in Kearney, December 12th-14th.
Highway Superintendent Tom Kuester will present road department issues at 9:30 a.m. followed by Generations in Volunteer Effort (GIVE) program director Barb Van Kerrebrook at 10:00 a.m., who will present an update on the progress of the program. Discussion will continue on the GIVE program’s involvement in county tourism and a proposed countyweb site.
The commissioners will conduct a quarterly jail inspection and allow for public comment prior to adjourning. A complete agenda is kept continuously current in the office of the Sheridan County Clerk and can be amended up to 24 hours prior to the meeting.
