(Neb.)-Victim Identified In Gering Train Accident
(Gering)-Authorities have identified the 31-year-old man who died in in a train-pedestrian accident Thursday evening in Gering as Brendan Pratt. According to KNEB in Scottsbluff, Scotts Bluff County Attorney Doug Warner says Pratt is a local man but had no permanent address and usually just stayed with friends.
Gering Police say Pratt was on the tracks about 300 feet east of the Country Club Road crossing when the eastbound Union Pacific coal train struck him around 6:45 p.m. An autopsy is scheduled.
Gering Police, Gering Fire & Rescue, and Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's office officials responded to the scene.
