(Neb.)- Teen And Little Miss Titles Awarded
(Chadron)-The 2013 Miss Chadron Outstanding Teen and Little Miss Chadron pageant was held on Sunday, November 18 at Chadron High School Auditorium. Walking away with the title of Miss Chadron’s Outstanding Teen was Alex O’Connor, daughter of Sam and Liz O’Connor of Keystone, Nebraska while Holly Walker, daughter of Jim and Jodi Walker of Gering was named Miss Northwest’s Outstanding Teen. 1st Runner up to O’Connor was Chadron’s own Mikaela Hastings, the daughter of Todd and Marleta Hastings while Jessica Helt, daughter of Scott and Karen Helt of Gering was named runner up to Walker.
The pageant’s first ever Little Miss Chadron title went to Aspen Graves, daughter of Mark and Shelley Graves of Chadron and Little Miss Northwest went to Chloe Blumanthal, daughter of Mark and Krista Blumanthal of Alliance. Alyssa Snyder, daughter of Kristi and the late John Snyder of Chadron and Carly Lemmon, daughter of John and Misty Lemmon of Crawford were named 1st runners up to Little Miss Chadron and Northwest respectively.
During coronation, O’Connor was named the overall interview winner while Hastings was awarded the overall talent award for her vocal solo to the song “Think of Me” from The Phantom of the Opera. The audience choice award was given to Bryttnee Lemmon, the daughter of John and Misty Lemmon of Crawford while Hastings was named Miss Congeniality. The non-finalist interview winner was Alexis McGlone, daughter of Paula Brening and Scott McGlone of Mithcell and Mariclaire Prill, daughter of Scott and Kristin Prill of Holdrege was named non-finalist talent winner for her lyrical dance to “The Climb”.
O’Connor and Walker will now advance to the Miss Nebraska Outstanding Teen Pageant held in North Platte in June.
The winner of the Miss Nebraska Outstanding Teen Pageant will advance to America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant held in August.
