(Neb.)-Kenyan Acrobats Performing At CSC Tonight
(Chadron)-A show at Chadron State College this week is promising to deliver death-defying stunts, humor, audience participation and heart-pounding music.
The Kenya Safari Acrobats will present “Lost in Africa” – described as a spectacle for the eyes, ears and heart -- on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Hall auditorium. The show is part of the CSC Galaxy Series of fine arts and cultural events.
“Lost in Africa” uses audience participation to tell the story of a tourist who gets lost and must fend for his life after stumbling upon an abandoned native village. After accidentally disturbing the nearby inhabitants, the tourist buys time with them by teaching them to play games with the items they bring forth to kill him. His life depends on how well the natives are entertained.
The show features a wide variety of rare stunts, including the bed of nails, the high-flying jump rope, human pyramids, contortion and chair stacking. The Kenya Safari Acrobats have taken their performance to festivals, fairs and corporate events around the world.
The Kenya Safari Acrobats is the second show of the 2012-2013 Galaxy Series. To ensure seating, ticket reservations can be made by contacting the CSC box office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 308-432-6207.
