(Neb.)-Earthquake Of 3.6 Magnitude Rattles Hyannis Area

(HYANNIS)-An earthquake in the Nebraska Panhandle has been confirmed by the United States Geological Survey. The quake occurred at 11:21 p.m. approximately 18 miles northwest of Hyannis and 98 miles east-northeast of Scottsbluff. It measured 3.6 on the Richter scale and was 3.1 meters deep. Some listeners in the KCSR listening area report feeling the aftershocks of the quake, but no damage has been reported at this time.
