(Neb.)-Fundraiser For Wife And Mother Battling Cancer

By: Chris Fankhauser Posted at: 10/09/2012 12:47 PM

(Rushville)-A Rushville woman is fighting bravely against cancer, and a benefit Hog Roast and Auction will be held this weekend to help defray medical expenses. The event for Kyla Vincent, age 35, will be held Saturday at the American Legion in Rushville.

The community of Rushville is coming together to help raise funds for Vincent as she continues to fight this disease.

There will be a free will donation dinner ready at 6:00 pm on Saturday, with an auction to follow.   Some of the items up for auction include gift certificates for several area businesses, framed art prints, hamburger and even hog processing. A more complete list is available on the Team Kyla Facebook event page. Those who cannot attend the benefit, or would like to donate more, can always make cash donations. Checks can be sent to:  Care for Kyla, 6742 State Hwy 27 Gordon NE 69343.   Or they may be taken to Bank of the West in Chadron or Gordon where an account has been set up.

Donations for the auction are still being accepted as well. Anyone wishing to donate an item for the auction or needing more information contact Dave Andrews at 308-360-3253.
