(Neb.)-State Patrol to Host 75th Anniversary Open House

By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 10/09/2012 10:28 AM

(SCOTTSBLUFF)-The Nebraska State Patrol will be hosting an open house on October 13th from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Troop E Headquarters office, located at 4500 Avenue I in Scottsbluff, to help commemorate their 75th anniversary. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.
During the open house, the State Patrol will be offering rides on its seatbelt convincer, roll-over simulator demonstrations, and tours of the Troop E Headquarters office and communications center. Equipment and vehicles currently being used by the agency will also be on display, and refreshments will be served as well.
Troop E Traffic Services Lieutenant Jamey Balthazor says, “We encourage the public to come meet some of the troopers assigned to the area and to look at the equipment that is currently being utilized. I suspect the public will be surprised when they see how much equipment it takes to outfit a trooper and the patrol cars used for day to day operations.”
For questions regarding the event, contact Lieutenant Balthazor at the Scottsbluff office 308-632-1216.
