(Chadron)-History in Action Day will be taking place at the Dawes County Museum this weekend with plenty of activities for the entire family. The event will take place on Sunday afternoon from 1 to 5 pm at the museum located approximately 3 miles south of Chadron on Highway 385. The turn to the museum is just south of the golf course.
Some of the activities this year will be familiar to people who have attended in the past. There will be corn shucking, live animals, flour grinding, and many demonstrations. One new event this year will be trick roping, and antique tractors will also be on hand.
All of the events are free and open to the public, but donations will be gladly accepted. Tours of the various structures will be taking place during the entire event, as will buggy rides.
