(Neb.)-***BREAKING NEWS***Wellnitz Fire Flaring Up

(Hay Springs)-A call to the Rushville Fire Department confirmed what a KCSR listener reported to the station, that the Wellnitz Fire in northern Sheridan County.  The person who answered the phone at the Fire Department stated she could not occupy the line as they needed it to help with communications, but did say the fire flared up to the north.  A witness stated they had visited with fire personnel, and they reported the fire was within three miles of Whiteclay.  They also stated a backburn had been performed from 420th Trail. As more information becomes available, we will pass that along to our listeners.
