 (Neb.)-Northwest Rural Public Power District Shutting Off Power Near State Park
(RURAL DAWES COUNTY)-Arlene Lahaye with the Northwest Rural Public Power District(NWRPPD) says that the incident commander for the Region 23 Complex Fires has requested that NRPPD turn off power in the area around the state park south to Table Road for a minimum of 24 hours due to fire activity. She says she doesn’t know how many customers this will impact for sure.
Also, NWRPPD is encouraging any customers who may still be experiencing a power outage outside of the area that is being shut off, to please give NWRPPD a call so they can make sure to work on the situation. Lahaye says crews worked all day yesterday (Thursday) and into the night repairing damage and are at it again today (Friday). They need help to ensure that they have located all the problem areas.
