(CHADRON)-The Chadron fire department has been called to the scene of a grass fire across in between Red Fern Road and Davenport about eight miles east of town. Fire crews are fighting to keep it contained and away from a couple of structures in the vicinity. It was pushing hard to the east, but was slowed when it hit the road. We will keep our listeners up-to-date as more information becomes available.
