(Chadron)-The Dawes County Commissioners met in regular session on Thursday morning, which is a variance from their regular schedule in that their meetings are normally scheduled on Wednesdays. However, being that the 15th of the month was yesterday, the meeting was changed due to payroll being done that day.
The Board approved a resolution authorizing re-allocation of real and personal property tax for the Dawes County Ag Society and the Fire Districts within the County. According to Commissioner Stacy Swinney, the changes were made because the entities afore mentioned had changes in funding needed, especially with the fires that the different fire departments in the County faced over the summer.
The Ag Society will receive $30,600, Chadron Rural Fire General Fund $36,610, Chadron Rural Fire Sinking Fund $23,992, Crawford Rural Fire General Fund $50,350, Crawford Rural Fire Sinking Fund $2,385, and the Crawford Rural Fire Bond $10,600.
