(Neb.)-Beef Show, Free Food At Dawes County Fair Thursday

(DAWES COUNTY)-There’s a full schedule of event s taking place at the Dawes County Fair today (Thursday). The 4-H beef show begins at 9:00 a.m. and runs throughout the morning and into the afternoon. Kent Gabriel will entertain fairgoers with his voice and acoustic guitar from noon-1:00 p.m. The afternoon features a Make It and Take It event for adults at 2:00 p.m. in the Henkens-Roberts building, followed by a spinning and weaving demonstration by Sharon Goff at 3:00 p.m. in Dixie Eaton Hall. At 5:00 p.m., the Dawes County Ag Society, Chadron Area Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee and Ambassadors are offering free Bar-B-Que in the show barn. At Earl’s Park, First National Bank of North Platte will be providing free watermelon and the Chadron Federal Credit Union will have free sno-cones.
At 6:00 p.m. in the grandstand area, there will be a 4-H large animal round robin followed by photos, state fair exhibits, and best of show. And don’t forget the Rubber Check Race at 7:00 p.m. followed by a public dance hosted by the Dawes County Ag Society from 8:00-11:30 p.m.
