(DAWES COUNTY)-There’s more fun happening at the Dawes County Fair today (Wednesday). This morning was the swine show, and the show barn was full of the oinky creatures and their handlers. Ten-year-old Jake Sellman was busy showing his pigs and having fun while winning. He said his pigs were doing well.

Sellman says hanging out with pigs is actually quite fun except for when clipping time comes.

He says pigs make for pretty fun companions for the most part.

Sellman, in his crisp white shirt, says he enjoys showing his pigs, but he also enjoys getting to relax at the end of a busy show.

His pig is probably ready to get dirty once again after the show, too. Sellman says he loves the fair. He’s especially looking forward to…

I wonder if the pigs will be invited? They’d probably appreciate a good water fight, too. Well, maybe… Still haven’t headed out the fair yet? Don’t worry. There’s still plenty to come to round out the week.
