CUSTER, South Dakota (AP) - Authorities say the Bear Gulch Fire in Custer State Park is 50 percent contained.
Fire Information Officer Iris Estes said late Saturday that crews expected to have the blaze fully contained by noon Sunday.
The fire had covered more than 25 acres Saturday afternoon slightly more than a mile northeast of Center Lake. More than 100 firefighters were working on the fire, which an investigation determined was started by a road grader maintaining a fire trail in the park.
