(S.D.)-More Lightning Equals More Fires

(KCSR)-At least two large grass fires and several smaller grass fires were started by lightning on Friday night in extreme southwestern South Dakota.

The fires were in a general area from Ardmore to Rumford. 

The fires eventually, with the help of rain and several area fire crews were knocked down and mop up operations were underway around 9:00PM.

It is not believed that any structures were involved in the fires.
