CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Business Council is encouraging
agriculture producers to compete in the hay show at the state fair.
Producers must deliver their hay samples to the Ag and Natural
Resource Pavilion at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds in Douglas by
noon on Aug. 13. Judging will begin the following day.
But before that, producers must send a core sample of their hay
bale to the Ward Laboratory in Kearney, Neb., for a complete forage
analysis and request the results be used for the Wyoming State
Fair. An entry form also is required.
The top five winning samples at the Wyoming State Fair Hay Show
will be sent to the Forage Superbowl Challenge at the World Dairy
Expo in Madison, Wis., being held Oct. 2-6.
