(S.D.) - Tornado near Ardmore rated EF-2

ARDMORE, SD - Officials say a tornado that touched down Friday in southwestern South Dakota has been rated an EF-2 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale.

The tornado touched down between Edgemont and Ardmore and traveled east, destroying a barn and several sheds on a ranch north of Ardmore.

The tornado rating means winds were estimated at 110-120 mph. The track length was at least eight miles long and about a half mile wide.
