(Neb.)-Schlichtemeier Named Old West Trail Rodeo Queen

(Crawford)- The Old West Trail Rodeo Queen Contest was held over the weekend in Crawford. There were three young women vying for the title of Queen, and two originally for the honor of Old West Trail Rodeo Princess.
After the process which included several areas of competition, Laramie Schlichtemeier of Ogallala, NE, was selected as the queen, with Eva Oliver of Merriman selected as the princess. The 1st runner up to Schlichtemeier was Chelsea Altena of Ellsworth, NE.
The 66th Old West Trail PRCA Rodeo will be taking place in Crawford next week, with performances on July 3 and 4, beginning at 8 pm. Other activities will also be taking place in Crawford and Fort Robinson beginning June 30 and running through July 4.
