(S.D.)-Calista Kirby Crowned Miss South Dakota On Saturday

     HOT SPRINGS, S.D. (AP) - Calista Kirby of Brookings has been crowned Miss South Dakota. The 23-year-old will represent the state at the Miss America pageant in January.
     Kirby, who went into the pageant as Miss Rushmore, performed a tumbling routine for her talent portion at the pageant in Hot Springs on Saturday. Her platform is "Stay Well, Get Well, American Cancer Society."
     The first runner-up was Heather Johnson, Miss Sioux Empire Fair, of Olivia, Minn., followed by Autumn Simunek, Miss Siouxland, of Hot Springs, Tessa Dee, Miss Rolling Plains, of Mitchell,
and Brittanie Venard, MissLakeAlvin, of Tea.
