 (Neb.)-Welcome Home Party For Miss Nebraska Mariah Cook
(Chadron)-After being crowned Miss Nebraska earlier this month, Mariah Cook will finally be making her way back to Chadron. The brief visit will be highlighted by a Welcome Home Miss Nebraska After 5 Party, being held at the Mari Sandoz Atrium on the Chadron State College campus.
The event will take place next Wednesday, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Cook will be entertaining those in attendance with a piano performance, and other area titleholders will be on hand as well. A silent auction will be held to help with expenses for Cook, and she will also be signing autographs. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Tickets are available at several locations throughout the community. Farm Bureau Agent Amy Halverson will have tickets at her office located at 315 Main Street, The Chadron Record will also have tickets, or people can call local pageant organizer Marleta Hastings at 430-3362. Tickets are $15 for adults, $20 per couple, and $9 for children 12 and under.
