(Neb.) - CSC Student New Miss Nebraska

(Chadron)-The Miss Nebraska Scholarship Pageant was held this weekend to pass the crown to a new representative.  Alliance Native Kayla Batt held the title for 2011, and just tonight, Chadron State College Student Mariah Cook was crowned Miss Nebraska 2012. 

According to local pageant organizers, Cook held the title of Miss Nebraska State Fair.  Her platform was on adoption, and she was adopted herself.  Her family, including her birth mother, were at the pageant tonight in North Platte.  Cook performed "The Anthem" on piano as her talent. As more details about the pageant become available, we will pass that along to our listeners.
