(Neb.) - Thousands of Scotts Bluff County tax notices wrong
By: John Thayer Posted at: 06/06/2012 09:13 AM GERING, Neb. (AP) - Owners of more than 5,000 land parcels in Scotts Bluff will be getting new valuation notices because the ones they've been sent were wrong.
Scotts Bluff County Assessor Amy Ramos told the county commissioners on Monday evening that the printing company put last year's valuation in the spot for this year's valuation and vice versa.
Ramos says there was no pattern to where the parcels were situated in the county, and they varied between residential, business and agricultural land.
The commissioners took action Monday night as the Board of Equalization to approve mailing of new postcards with the correct figures.
