(Neb.)-Crazy Horse Riders Stop In Chadron After Day One Of Annual Ride

By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 06/04/2012 11:06 PM

(CHADRON)-The Chadron City Council took a brief recess during their meeting Monday evening to welcome the Crazy Horse riders as they made their way down Main Street on their 15th annual ride. The riders began their journey Monday morning at Fort Robinson State Park and stopped at the Dawes County Fairgrounds for the night. They will continue heading east on Tuesday as they make their way to Beaver Valley and then on to Pine Ridge in the upcoming days. One witness said he thought there were more riders this year on day one than there have been in years past. Someone estimated that close to 200 riders participated in the Chadron portion of the ride.
